The scale of the tragedy, especially for the initial few months, seemed never-ending—thousands unemployed, businesses bankrupt, dreams ruined, the environment at risk and, most unfortunate, lost lives.
Knowing the challenges involved in order to maneuver “the system” without guidance, Mr. Vaksman was particularly shocked to learn that the BP oil fund administrators were parading on television informing the public not to use an attorney —that they could get a fair shake without one. This was a ridiculous assertion, especially coming from people who are being compensated by BP.
